Travel safety gear Essentials are a must especially if you’re a solo traveler not withholding gender. Every solo traveler is vulnerable.
Am writing this in the wake of an incident that happened in Zanzibar involving a female Solo traveler who was on a vacation on this breathe taking Island.
She was celebrating her birthday and that night she went to her room after her birthday escapades only to get shock of her life.
Please note she had no travel and safety gear essentials. Just as she was about to catch some Zs like a log in the Masai Mara Jungle.
She felt someone stroking her, she thought she was in dreamland but the person was persistent. It is at this juncture she woke up in perplexity to confirm whether it was actually a dream.
A bolt out of the blue was a male human in her room. Tenfold questions ran through her incertitude mind. How did he get in, is he human? Should I scream, Is this my last breath?
She froze, all she remembered was bubbling some words, “Please don’t kill me, don’t rape me. Unfortunately, the said assailant did not understand English, only Swahili and she didn’t know Swahili.
To summarize the story, she convinced the mugger to go out to fetch protection since she has HIV/Aids. The said assailant obliged.
Once he was out, she grabbed some clothes and dashed out to save herself.
Well, some say this was such a gut-wrenching experience for anyone to go through. While others didn’t believe her story.
Be it true or not, I am not in a place to judge but this can happen to anyone. This is why I’m writing about travel safety gear essentials you will need to pack especially if you’re a solo traveler.

It is not only affordable but also easy to use. All you need to do is insert one under the door while inside and your break-in security issues will be sorted.
It is ideal to use both at home while traveling and in outdoor activities like game drives, hiking, and Mountain Climbing. Since the alarm is louder than that of an Ambulance.
This means it scares both people and animals and in case of an attack, once pressed they will scatter for their life.
It has a strap that can be worn as a wristband.

Each pack comes with 4 individually wrapped and reusable mylar blankets that fit into a highly durable EVA case.
They are designed to be the most compact and convenient thermal blankets on the market. You can store the whole set in your car or take an individual survival blanket on your camping and hiking adventures.

Your supposed date might spike your drink maybe rape you or simply steal from you. It’s time to put this on our past now.
We call it “kuekewa Mchele” (drink spiked) notorious in Nairobi.
This will be of the past if you invest in G-Check Drug Test Kit Sticker. Which is quite easy to use as I will explain.
Now, they are sticky stickers that you can stick on your phone or bag/Wallet. It has a protective clear paper which you peel off when you want to test your drink by dropping a drop of your drink.
If it changes color, abort the mission, the drink is already spiked. If it doesn’t change, you’re good to continue with your date.
